Now you've filled out your application form you need to get your form verified and endorsed.
What is verification?
We need to be sure that your identity and all of the documents you are submitting in support of your application are genuine. We ask your employer to print their name, job title, sign and date all photocopies of your supporting documents ie:
- birth certificate
- qualification certificates
- driving licence or passport.
Once your employer has returned these to you, please make sure your employer has signed, dated and printed their name on all photocopies.
What is endorsing?
We need assurances that the information you give us about your disciplinary record, criminal convictions and any alternatives to prosecution you have been subject to, is correct. We need to be sure that there are no reasons why the SSSC should not be assured of the competence of your good character and your suitability for registration.
Who can endorse an application?
Applicants are required to get an endorsement of their application by a senior person in a social service organisation. If your organisation has a countersignatory, this person must endorse your application form - check with your manager.
Fee
